Position Description

As a Production Manager/Supervisor you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Manage and provide leadership and direction in the manufacturing plants to build medical devices according to manufacturing instructions and engineering drawings
  • Provide the information to train and educate the team members about Manufacturing Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, Quality System Regulations, work rules and safety guidelines
  • Control the manufacturing environment, identify and contribute to cost reduction projects, control the variable burden budget, labor utilization, meet schedules and maintain quality standards
  • Develop a capacity plan to manage current demands and plan for future machine, staffing and spatial requirements
  • Mentoring and developing direct reports, and supporting manufacturing teams in reaching company goals

Position Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent and/or related experience
  • Or a certificate from any technical training institution or college
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, ability to interface effectively with cross functional teams regarding all manufacturing activities and production issues
  • Possess a technical and hands-on approach to solving issues


 The following skills and attributes are preferred:

  • Medical manufacturing experience
  • Good understanding of MRP/ERP systems
  • An understanding of Quality Systems, QSR and ISO standards, specifically ISO 13485:2003, a plus
