    Position Description

    As a Driver on 2nd shift (1:00 P.M. - 9:30 P.M.), you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

    • Drive various company vehicles related to specific tasks (Vehicles include: Box Trucks, Bobtails, Flatbeds, Pickup Trucks, Passenger vehicles, and small or large Cargo vans)
    • Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections
    • Complete driver’s related logs
    • Load and unload company vehicles
    • Secure cargo
    • Maintain company vehicle in ordinance with safety standards, policies, and procedures
    • Transport company goods internally and externally, distribute Inter-Office company mail, and shuttle passengers around
    • Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions within dock areas
    • Ability to perform physical activities that require lifting, pulling, pushing, balancing, walking, and climbing

    Position Requirements

    This position requires the following skills and attributes:

    • Valid driver’s license (with either Class C, A, or B with appropriate endorsements)
    • Knowledge of CALBIT, DOT, TSA, EPN and other agencies registration and practices
    • Must have excellent customer service skills
    • High School education or equivalent
    • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety regulations
    • Understanding of team concepts and a willingness to work with others
    • Ability to work with little supervision
    • Must meet the medical requirements of the Department of Transportation (DOT)
    • Minimum of 2 years of on the road driving and loading/unloading truck  experience
