    In your first year as an Operations Associate, you will participate in our Operations Leadership Program. The training structure is designed to develop future leaders for Applied’s operations and manufacturing teams. You will be trained on a variety of topics, including process improvements, good manufacturing practices, communication and leadership skills, among others. In the second year, you will have the opportunity to apply the skills you’ve learned by taking on direct leadership responsibilities in a designated area.

    Position Description

    As an Operations Associate, you will be responsible for learning and contributing in a cross-functional team environment while performing the following responsibilities:

    • Learn about manufacturing operations by shadowing the different roles within production, on-the-job training, and completing training courses
    • Learn and use SAP management systems (ERP/MRP)
    • Perform manufacturing cost analyses, shop floor control, material requirements planning and production scheduling
    • Identify and contribute to process improvement projects
    • Develop capacity plans for current and future resource needs

    Position Requirements

    This position requires the following skills and attributes:

    • Curiosity and interest in an operations and manufacturing career
    • Ability to commit two years to complete the Operations Leadership Program
    • 4-year degree and leadership experience
    • Initiative to drive change
    • High level of flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
    • Aptitude for problem-solving and data analysis
    • Clear written and verbal communication


    • 4-year degree in Business Administration or Operations and Supply Chain Management
    • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
    • Prior experience in SAP or other ERP data management systems
    • Working knowledge of manufacturing and production, or process-driven work environments
